Shift: 7 am to 6 pm – Flexible hours based on business needs.

Summary:  Responsibility for managing all facets of the Distribution Center while working closely with other
management and departments.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Supervision and discipline, training and development of 25-35 hourly employees and up to 6 supervisors.
  • Direct the daily activities of the distribution center, including scheduling, supervision and proper utilization of space, equipment, and manpower.
  • Make recommendations on programs to improve distribution center operations and promote new methods to reduce damage to products, equipment and facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, receiving, warehouse, and material handling operations, practice and methods.
  • Possess a good understanding of distribution center management inventory systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Develop programs that will compliment employee accountability.
  • Leadership qualities to include leading by example and getting results through others.
  • Responsibility for distribution center safety.
  • Proven ability to effectively motivate employees.
  • Ensure training and compliance with State and Federal regulations for DOT, OSHA, (forklift, Hazardous Materials, DOT Drug/alcohol)
  • Provide leadership in the areas of operational performance, people development,  and customer relations.
  • Oversee total logistics such as proper coordination with purchasing and vendors for receiving incoming product and staging, loading and coordination of outbound fleet.
  • Analyzing logistical problem and producing solutions.
  • Ability to set and achieve realistic goals.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities.
  • Awareness of and strategic response to external influences, such as fuel costs, legislation and environment pressures.

Key Competencies:

Team skills effectively utilized as a respected manager, mentor, coach, motivator and achiever
Microsoft Office Suite computer skills, specifically proficient in Word, Excel, power point, outlook and P21 processing.
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience required in HVACR industry, products and services.
Lead by example style, great work ethic, dedicated to business success
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
Good decision making skills, problem solving and people skills

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years’ experience in management position or combination of school and work experience.
